I have learned that Tamara Kist will be directing my musical A SUMMER STORM. This
premier full edition is currently slated for the 9th and 10th of June. The venue will be announced soon. For those of you keeping score, I will be performing at Big Shot on Sunday
the 22nd at 6pm. I will be off the following Tuesday, the 24th. No problem. Just switching a night with
Jim Peterson, one of our other entertainers. By the way, on Saturday the 21st, a new entertainer joins our ranks at Big Shot. Mick Archer. Mick appeared
on my old television show back in the eighties, although he doesn't remember. In any case, it'll be fun seeing him again. I need to clear up some confusion. Guitarist Bill Demis
IS appearing with yours truly, Sami Scot and Robin Lukas for our April 16th concert at the Schaumburg Township Library Audio/Visual
center. Bill has been nominated for a grammy. Melissa and beth Hollander have returned from a whirl-wind tour through New York City. Welcome back.
Looking forward to seeing some photos and listening to stories. Congrats to my dear friend Elyse for winning yet another TEACHER OF THE YEAR award. Teaching is a very important
and noble profession. I'm very proud of you. last September
11th, I had the honor of appearing on stage at the Holocaust Museum in a special musical program featuring some giants of
the cabaret world. One of the cast members, David Edelfelt has lost his father who had been ill. We are all very
sorry for your loss. Thank you
to our ever-faithful customers at Big Shot for an amazing holiday season. We appreciate you more than you'll ever know. I have been considering putting together a podcast. I would
like suggestions from fans as to what they'd like to hear. Each podcast will probably run about 15 minutes. waynesongs@sbcglobal net. It was very
nice to hear from Keturah Allyson, the best vocalist in Florida and an upcoming major force in music. I've also
found out that she has family in the Chicago area and will visit when in the area. Tamara Kist, director of
the Tesseract Theater ensemble has been fighting a flu bug. People are passing this thing around out there like a basketball.
My throat was hoarse last Sunday morning when i performed at a Christmas party. When I opened my mouth to sing,
I actually sounded a bit like Elmer Fudd! Anyway, get better Tammers. We have work to do! By the way, Tamara
and I are exploring the possibility of mounting A SUMMER STORM in a very unique venue. I cannot reveal any details
at the moment, but i can tell you the Toyota company is involved. I am thinking of putting
together a NEW ORLEANS style trio for a special Mardi Gras event to be held at Big Shot next spring. It all depends
if I find the right musicians. I have received a dvd of , ELEVEN, THE 9/11 commemorative concert I proudly participated in at the Holocaust
museum. Thanks to Carla Gordon for providing copies to the entire cast. I hope we all do another show together
sometime. It was an amazing experience. It was great to talk with Rodney Harper on the phone. This gentleman is about the finest drummer around.
Its always been fun doing gigs with him and hopefully he'll be available in spring for a special project I have in mind. Its always fun to find Marti Bonne in the audience at Big Shot.
Come by more often please! I also have music for you to hear so stop by my studio soon.
