1970'S
Throughout my entire career, I have lived in and around Chicago.
Some of my earliest piano/vocal work was presented in such landmark venues as the LION BAR AT THE WESTIN, THE RITZ CARLTON,
EUGENES and the LINCOLNWOOD HYATT during the 1970's. These gigs were mostly solo engagements. But,
on occasion, I had a chance to work with an array of extraordinary musicians in various duos and trios.
1980'S
In
1983, I was given the opportunity to entertain at Mackinac Island's famous MURRAY HOTEL for a summer season. It
was here that I became inspired to compose. One of the tunes from those early efforts became a song called,
MACKINAC DREAMS. I'm very proud to state that my musical tribute has become a recognized anthem
in the Great lakes area. In addition, I had the opportunity to creatively contribute original scores to over a dozen
travel documentaries produced by Michigan based Rand Communications. Many of these products are available at www.islandbookstore.com.
1985/86 and 87
During the mid-eighties, I divided performing time between a continuous engagement at the Schaumburg Marriot
and performing in Scandinavia. Publicized as the "Elton John" of Chicago, my first marked success overseas
took place at a popular night spot in Oslo, Norway called THE VICTORIA. However, in 1986, I turned my
attention to Sweden. Performing in such locations as Malmo, Stockholm and karlskrona have been among the most enjoyable
experiences of my life.
THE 1990'S
During the 90's, I entertained audiences at
two "world class" resorts. PHEASANT RUN in St.Charles afforded me an opportunity to entertain audiences
for close to a decade! With a passion for musical theatre, it was an honor to perform right next to their highly popular
"dinner playhouse." Toward the end of the decade, I took on a two month engagement at EAGLE RIDGE RESORT
in Galena, Illinois. To make a long story short...I had a blast! In 1997, 98 and 99, I once again tackled
Sweden. After an 11 year absence, I wondered whether I would be able to pick up the same kind of attention I had captured
in the eighties. The three tours completely surpassed my expectations. In October of 1999, I began what
would become a two and one half year stint at THE BARN OF BARRINGTON in Barrington, Illinois. The piano lounge
itself was called the Carousel.
2000 to PRESENT In 2001, I released a "limited edition" album of original works entitled, ALL MY TRAVELS. Also in 2001, I began a several year engagement at the popular UPPER CLUB at VILLA VERONE in St. Charles, Illinois.
I also entertained at the VILLA VERONE in Sycamore. In 2002, the first "reader's theatre" production
of my musical, A SUMMER STORM" was held at the Schaumburg Township District AUDIO/VISUAL center. I also do
concerts here on a yearly basis. In 2003, I also appeared in the role of JOE in Scott Urban's and Bob Solone's
musical, LOVE IN THE MIDDLE AGES. One of the showcases was produced at Chicago's famous Mercury theatre. In
2006, A SUMMER STORM became an official entry in the Robert Redford Sundance Theatre Workshop. In February
of 2007, the WOOD STREET THEATRE COMPANY, based in Palatine, Illinois, produced a "reader's theatre" production
of A SUMMER STORM in CUTTING HALL. The play was directed by Susanna Kist. The script is currently
undergoing some sweetening and shortening. Basic tracks are now in the process of being recorded for a SUMMER
STORM concept album. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ OTHER REGULARLY
